The controlling-communicating unit for medical gases “BOX SZKG”

skrzynka skgThe controlling-communicating unit for medical gases enables closing/ opening the flow of medical gases, their constant controlling as well as switching on the emergency.

The controlling-communicating unit for medical gases is designed to be installed in hospitals. The units (boxes) are installed in every operating room, intensive medical care rooms, resuscitation rooms, on the individual hospital units (floors). They enable closing/opening the flow of medical gases, their constant controlling as well as switching on the emergency power supply. In the case of the breakdown in the central power supply, the unit may be supplied through the box to the area which is operated by this very box. In every box there may be installed the signaling system which will switch on an acoustic and visual alarm when the pressure will exceed the established limits. The controlling-communicating unit for medical gases meets the requirements of the 93/42/EEC Directive concerning medical devices as well as they are made in harmony with the norm EN ISO 7396-1:2007.

Construction:

The controlling-communicating unit consists of the following elements:

  • the metal casing which is covered with the powder varnish
  • signaling system SGM (optional)
  • the lock with the possibility of an emergency opening
  • the valve-connecting unit (one for each gas)

Every valve-connecting unit consists of:

( 1 ) the cutting off valve
( 2 ) the emergency power supply socket
( 3 ) the pressure indicator (manometer, vacuum gauge)
( 4 ) pressure sensors (if they are included in the project, optionally)

Each box has a lock that gives a possibility to open the box with the key. The key is the same for all the boxes installed on the given system. In the emergency situation there is the possibility to open the box by the hit with the fist into the lock. The information about this is placed on the box in the area of the lock a fist on the yellow background with the caption: EMERGENCY OPENING HIT IN THE CASE OF BREAKDOWN.

Signaling system:

SThe signaling system for medical gases (SGM) is designed to cooperate with the pressure sensors that signalize the gape and short-circuit of joints when the established limit is exceeded. The SGM signalizes visually s well as acoustically that the given sensor has just worked.Skrzynka5

On the front panel of the signaling system there are:

  • the diode giving information about the state of work (green)
  • the diode giving information about the state of an alarm (red)
  • the TEST button used to do the test of SGM
  • the TEST button used to do the test of SGM
  • the LCD screen (16 x 2) where information concerning the state of work and alarms are shown e.g. OXYGEN+ (too high oxygen pressure)

Technical data:

  • - Boxes are made for O2 , AIR , VAC , N2O, CO2 as 1,2,3,4 or 5 gases in the configuration required by the client.
  • Standard technical parameters:
  • Pressure of the work for O2,AIR,N2O,CO2: 04-0,5 MPa
  • Pressure of the work for vacuum: -0,06 MPa
